In addition to working on the development of our own three-seater bicycles, our development team realized that there was a need for a bicycle that is both fashionable and able to carry a child and teamed up with the VERY editorial team in 2009 to commence work on a join project to develop a bicycle that caters to the demand of the magazine's readers for a motor-assisted bicycle equipped with child seat that is both fashionable and safe. The development covered everything from the frame through to the child seat in order to ensure that we were able to achieve a sense of fashion without spoiling the inherent safety. The concept that we finally arrived at after countless meetings with the VERY editorial team and the magazine's readers was a handsome bike that can be ridden by both parents.
A safe design was the prerequisite for attracting the mothers, and we also adopted a sporty cruiser style to appeal to the fathers. An increase in the number of mothers who want to cycle together with their children in a fashionable manner and an increase in the number of fathers who are taking a more active role in raising their children led to the conception of the HYDEE.B motor-assisted bicycle complete with child seat, The main features of the bicycle include the aluminum frame that was designed with a sporty loop shape that ladies will find easy to pedal, a handsome child seat fitted with a head guard and supplied with two cushion patterns, foot guards to protect the child's feet, cruiser handlebars for relaxed and comfortable cycling, and center-slick MTB tires. A newly-developed child seat aiming at both greater levels of design and safety. Meeting all SG specifications, the seat is fitted with a head guard, foot guards and other features that can be adjusted in accordance with the growth of the child. Boasting a design that makes the best use of curves, the seats also come in three cushion designs featuring camouflage colors, red and black. Each of the models is supplied with two patterns; camouflage and red for the T.X. matt black frame color, camouflage and black for the E.X. white frame color and camouflage and red for the F.X. active red frame color. The seat can be used by children between the age of two and six with a height of 115cm or less and a weight of 22kg or less.

An extremely broad and very tough "BS Lock III" anti-theft cycle lock operated with a dimple key is fitted below the rear carrier. The lock can also be opened from the rear when parked.
11. Main switch equipped with a digital display
Battery capacity is displayed in units of 10% down until 20% remains, and then in units of 1% for the remaining 20%. The switch alternates between this and the speed display to eradicate anxieties over remaining battery capacity and estimated time of arrival to provide an even higher sense of security.

The life-span of conventional batteries (replacement period) was between 350 and 450 recharges, but this long-life battery has doubled this life-span to between 700 and 900* recharges. This means that the total distance that can be cycled with a single battery has been doubled, which provides an economical purchase from the point of view that the extra life represents a full replacement battery with conventional models. The shape of the battery has also been upgraded to enable it to be connected and disconnected with even greater simplicity.

13. "S.P.E.C.3" providing finely-tuned assistance in alignment with the gear
Uses the "S.P.E.C.3" (Shift Position Electric Control x three built-in gears) function to provide superior assistance power. The speed sensor enables the drive unit to detect the gear and speed. This controls the ultimate level of assistance power in alignment with each of the three gears. Simply change gears in accordance with road conditions, and this function will provide the ultimate cycling experience by providing the maximum amount of assistance power.
